Wear out your kneepads, not you knees!

Snickers Workwear - Global

Doing repair work on heavy vehicles Björn Ödén finds himself working more often on his knees than not. His RuffWork 6203 trousers have kneepockets fitted with D30 Lite 9112 kneepad.

Your knees are meant to keep working long after you retire. Be smart and save your knees by wearing proper knee protection. And keep changing kneepads – they do wear out!

"I don't want to be reminded of my knees when I get home at night."

When do you wear kneepads?

All the time. I rely on good kneepads in my work. I’m often kneeling on a fender, hanging over an engine – or moving around trying to reach something from below. Often I have no choice but to kneel right on sharp edges.

What is a good pair of kneepads to you?

The D3O Lite I use work really well. When kneeling I can feel how the pressure gets distributed over a larger surface. I don’t get the same strain on a specific spot, which is usually very annoying when you have to slide on your knees over an uneven surface.

What do you like about them?

I especially appreciate that these kneepads are pre-shaped and bent to fit the knee and tailor-made for the kneepad pocket. Some kneepads I’ve used before were ill-fitting and often got in the way when walking about.

What is the difference in changing to better kneepads?

When I worked as a roofer I spent all days on my knees using older style kneepads. Coming home at night they often felt sore, and sometimes swollen. As a mechanic I can also experience fatigue in the knees at night, but with Snickers D3O Lite it has been a lot better. In fact, I rarely think about my knees at all.

You've only got one pair of knees - Protect them for the future.

Change worn out kneepads before it’s too late!
Change kneepads more often and you’ll save your knees. A general rule is to use at least two pairs of kneepads for each pair of trousers.
