Trousers made to fit. Both you and your job.

Guide iconGuide

When you get a new pair of work trousers there are three things that you need to think about. How you’re going to use them, how you want them to fit, and what size you need. The sweet spot of hard-working, long-lasting work trousers is where these three variables meet.

Made to do a job

All of our trousers are grouped into six collections that in one way or another specify the purpose and conditions they’re made for. Some of them are more or less straightforward, while others need some explanation. So check out all of them before you choose – just to make sure you get the right workwear for your job.

Snickers Workwear Collections

Fit isn’t just about comfort

Now that you’ve chosen the right collection for your purposes, it’s time to look at fit. We have three fits for our trousers, and they’re pretty self-explanatory. However, you may think that fit’s all about comfort, when it’s really about considering things like safety and protection. For instance, if your trousers are too long or too loose, your knee pads probably won’t stay in place when you crawl around on the floor.

Slim fit Figure-hugging and tight, with a slimmer silhouette. At the same time, these garments are designed stretch and fit your every move.

Regular fit Follows the shape of your body, without being too tight. There’s room for air to circulate between you and the garment.

Loose fit Sits securely at the waist, but the legs are much wider and airier. All the trousers in our classic 3-series, and some newer styles in the 6-series, have a loose fit.

Tools that fit the female form All of the above information holds true for women too. Our women’s trousers are purposefully built to meet the specific needs of your job. And we have a wide range of sizes to choose from. Of course, this also means that our women’s trousers are specifically designed for the female anatomy. The trousers are wider at the hips, and narrower at the waist, all for an improved comfort and optimal fit where you demand it. All of our women’s workwear is developed in close collaboration with craftswomen around the world.

For good measure

Purpose? Check. Fit? Check.

And that brings us to size, and this is where things can get a bit tricky. Because we have over 70 trouser sizes to choose from. And that’s not to confuse you, or make getting a pair of work trousers harder than it should be. It’s to make sure you get trousers that not only fit you and your job, but last. A long, long time. No stitching that loosens. No rips or tears at the seams. Just hard-working, long-lasting, durable workwear.

We have size guides, measurement diagrams, and conversion tables that can point you in the right direction, but honestly, nothing beats getting measured with a good, old-fashioned, yellow measuring tape. With your current and exact measurements, you can be sure you’ll get the best size possible.

So grab a measuring tape and ask a friend to help you out. Because no matter how good you are at what you do, it’s next to impossible to measure yourself.

Here are some other measuring tips:

  • We repeat – ask a friend for help.
  • Dress in a close-fitting base layer when you take your measurements.
  • Measure close to your body without letting the measuring tape “cut into” your silhouette.

Once you know how you’ll use your trousers, the fit you feel best in, and your exact measurements, you’ll be ready to put a pair of our work trouser to the final test. Try on a pair. Because when it all comes down to it, that’s the best way to get the right trouser for you. And your job.
